Royal Troon has been the biggest disappointment of all courses so far. I think that based upon the quality of the more under rated courses we were expecting a great deal from Troon.
Most people found it to be a little uninspiring. A lot of the holes seemed similar, and were not too memorable.
The condition let it down considerably also.
There was a lot of snow earlier in the year, and the fairways were still struggling with the effects from that.
Tony McLean proved to be the top performer of the day, taking the prize with 43 points.
