Prestwick. Tuesday 20 July

Prestwick was the first of our optional rounds. Those who took the option to play were not disappointed, and felt that it justified the early start.

Prestwick hosted the first Open championship in 1860 so it was fitting that after having viewed the 150th anniversary event at St. Andrews we played here. Prestwick has hosted the open championship an amazing 24 times, the last being in the 1920's.

As we arrived at the club, we were greeted by our former president, Peter Dakin. Peter has been over watching the Open as well. He tagged along with Matt and myself for the round.

Everyone is off to Royal Troon this afternoon.
